Pastor

Pastor Rogers has been serving as pastor at St. Johns since June 19, 2005. He is a graduate of Concordia Theological seminary, Fort Wayne, IN.

His favorite Bible verse is Romans 1:16. "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of salvation unto all who believe."

Pastor Rogers faithfully proclaims the Word of God, both Law and Gospel, among the members of St. Johns and throughout the community, while sharing the love of Christ in Word and caring service to the neighbor.

He married his wife, Jeri, on May 17, 1975. Together they have two grown sons, Erik and Christopher, who have blessed them with three wonderful grandchildren.

Pastor Rogers holds an associates degree in technology, a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Masters Degree of Divinty. He worked for 30 years in various engineering positions before answering God's call to serve as a pastor. His greatest joy is seeing his flock grow in their faith and trust in the Lord and coming to realize the truth that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ Jesus and His saving work on the cross for sinners.
